Day 1 Stockholm
Highlights / Old Town
Your first day in Stockholm, do a walking tour or bike tour around town to familiarize yourself with the area. You will see the highlights of the city. In the afternoon, spend some time walking around the old town, visit the Royal castle, and if art and photography are of interest, visit the Fotografiska.
Day 2 Stockholm
Shopping / Castle / Stockholm Skärgården
In the morning, do some shopping. NK (Nordiska Kompaniet) mall offers a variety. Around lunch, you can see the changing of the guards at the castle. In the afternoon, explore the beauty of the Stockholm Archipelago, take a boat tour, and enjoy the city from the water.
Day 3 Stockholm
Djurgården
Walk along Strandvägen over to Djurgården, and visit one of the many museums like the Vasa Museum, Skansen open-air museum, Viking museum, or maybe the ABBA museum. You can spend a full day visiting museums, depending on your interests. Early evening, take the train to Copenhagen. It will take you about 5 hours and 15 minutes to get there.
Day 4 Copenhagen
Round Tower / City Tour / Nyhavn
After a late arrival to Copenhagen, enjoy breakfast. Before lunch stroll around town and visit the Round Tower for a view of the city. In the afternoon take a 2 or 3-hour walking or biking tour of Copenhagen. This will give you a great overview of the highlights of Copenhagen. In the evening walk down to Nyhavn and enjoy the harbor area in the evening lights.
Day 5 Copenhagen
Castles / Museums
Spend the morning exploring the beautiful castles Rosenborg Castle and Amalienborg Castle. If you are there in the spring or summer, enjoy the King's Garden at the Rosenborg. In the afternoon, visit one of Copenhagen's many museums. Design Museum Denmark, National Museum of Denmark, The National Gallery of Denmark – SMK, are just a few suggestions. If you enjoy art, the Louisiana of Modern Art, north of the city, is highly recommended. Spend the evening at Tivoli gardens, lots of fun for all ages.
Day 6 Copenhagen
Canal Tour / Ferry to Oslo
Enjoy a canal tour through Copenhagen in the morning. After lunch, enjoy some shopping at Stroget before getting on the Copenhagen - Oslo overnight ferry.
Day 7 Oslo
Arrive Oslo / Walking Tour
Arrive Oslo in the morning. Make sure to get up early to enjoy the Oslo fjord.
In the afternoon, join a walking tour to get the highlights of the Norwegian capital.
Day 8 Oslo
Bygdo Island
Spend the day enjoying Oslo. Bygdo Island has lots of history, museums, and recreational areas that are well worth a visit. Museums like the Kon Tiki Museum, Fram Museum, Viking ship museum, and Oscarshall.
Day 9 Norway in a Nutshell
Oslo - Balestrand
Leave early morning from Oslo on the train, taking you to Myrdal. From here, join the famous scenic Flåm railway. Said to be one of the world's most beautiful train rides. From Flåm, you will take the fjord ferry to Balestrand. This is the first day of two in the "Norway in a Nutshell" journey. Spend the night at the beautiful Kviknes Hotel in Balestrand, located right by the fjord. (If done in the winter, spend the night in Flåm.)
Day 10 Norway in a Nutshell
Balestrand - Bergen
In the morning, tour the fjord in a RIB boat. A small boat will allow you to get close to nature, wildlife, and amazing beauty. In the afternoon, continue your adventure from Balestrand on a fjord cruise arriving Bergen later at night.
Day 11 Bergen
Bryggen / Mount Floyen
Spend the day in Bergen. Take the floibanen, a funicular taking you up Mount Floyen for a beautiful view and some hiking. A visit at the historic war, Bryggen is also a must in Bergen.
Day 12 Return Home
Bergen
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel. If you have time spend some time walking around the city before it's time to fly back home.
