  1. Hi Veronica, I loved your article about the Helsinki Hotels and the airport itself. I travel abroad a fair amount but I’ve never been to Finland. I don’t know why because it is a beautiful country. I need to put it on my bucket list. It appears the airport itself is modern and up-to-date.

Most of the time when I land, I stay the night at a close hotel, just to get my feet on the ground and to get organized. My travel is not for business (usually), but for pleasure, so I’m not in a big hurry.

You listed several hotels. Do you have a preference? Overall, I like the Hilton. Ninety-five percent of the ones I’ve stayed in were nice and deserve the Hilton brand. What about the Hilton Helsinki?

Thank you for your article. It was very informative and very useful. Who knows, I may just get there!

    1. Hi Mike,

Glad you enjoyed the Helsinki Airport Hotel Guide. I do include the Hilton Helsinki Airport Hotel, and that is a great option staying close to the airport. I’ll do an article about hotels in Helsinki as well. Hilton Helsinki Strand is a good alternative if you want to stay at a Hilton closer to downtown. It’s a waterfront hotel,4-minute walk from the Hakaniemen metro station, and a 13-minute walk from Ateneum art museum.
